What will I be doing?

  • Receiving customer phone calls, addressing customers’ queries and requests for information
  • Receipt, acknowledgement and logging of orders and enquiries
  • Preparation of orders and quotes for processing, including liaison with customers, other depts, and external sales
  • Provision of pricing information and basic technical advice to customers
  •  Handling queries from customers or internal depts relating to enquiries and orders
  • Processing orders and quotes onto Avante
  • Addressing customer complaints under the non-conformance report (NCR) procedure
  • Investigation of invoice queries, including raising credit note requests

What do I need?

  • GCSE Math and English or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office familiarity (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • 2 years relevant customer service experience
  • Relevant NVQ or similar qualification ideal but not essential
  • Experience of manufacturing or relevant industry sector (eg. logistics, construction, supplier/distributor) ideal but not essential
  • Experience of an ERP/MRP system ideal but not essential
  • Great service ethic and commitment to ensuring best customer experience
  • Strong verbal and written customer service skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail/accuracy
  • Ability to work to deadlines and juggle priorities in a busy office environment
  • Strong team player with a flexible attitude
  • Permanent full time role
  • Mon – Thur, 08:00 to 17.00 Fri 08.00 till 13.00
