Presidents set collaboration challenge - now you set the agenda...

The presidents of CIBSE, RIBA and B&ES have pledged to improve collaboration between their organisations; members and the wider construction community. This was a follow-up to the original session held on 19 May 2015 prior to the Patrons lunch.

Now we need some specifics - can you help?

On Monday 22nd June 2015 , CIBSE Patrons and B&ES teamed-up for an event at RIBA, for a 'question time' type session on collaboration with the three respective presidents.

How should our professions and organisations collaborate?

Take our challenge and set the agenda.

We've had the talking; now we want to do the walking - we need practical steps. It could be:

A new educational curriculum for the built environment as suggested by B&ES’s Andy Sneyd. Who would create and teach it?

Or...a subject-based collaborative project between the four built environment professional institutions (CIBSE,RIBA, RICS and IStructE) as urged by RIBA’s Stephen Hodder.

What should the subject be? You decide.

And how about CIBSE President Nick Mead's call for a smaller, more representative body to fight for the issues that matter to building engineers and architects on the political front?

Do you like that idea? Who should lead it?
